No, I really don't. I was playing the Old castle and at the end I found a few things to mess around with surrounding a star. I think it has a purpose. Something to do with the messages in the castle I think. A bit strange having a champion, anything really, moving around chasing me or not. So being unable to decode a message in Elven I did a reenactment of the pilot for generation 1 MLP. I thought I was clever having just accomplished the 'Careful Planning' achievement.

It had its moments but overall not really. I did not have the lady of gems or first strike. I later found that to be a very nice team. The increased gold from the Lady of Gems increases recovery and the dragon not getting gold from enemies like others but picking it up increases piety. I was not sure if I should give my gold to the Lady or keep it for the horde sometimes.

It wouldn't be fun if it was too easy to decode. I'm not ashamed. What was the plot for the generation 1 MLP?

My Little Pony: Rescue at Midnight Castle. Made in 1986. Look it up on youtube. I thought you knew having seen the seeponies referenced in the loading page. Gen 1 is the best. I am that old.

Thanks! Read a bit on it.
Seems that even in the first generation, there were really dark themes in the show we missed.

The achievement does not give much in the way of any useful hint except what level and what race to use. I have tried many things but no luck so far. I even found out about that one thing. A bit sneaky, well played. (Not trying to give spoilers unless asked for those that want a challenge.) Not sure if I need to use a certain class or worship someone or what I am doing wrong at the ending. Fells like I am missing something.

Hmmm... nope, we'll never require someone to worship somebody for an achievement because of the randomness involved in selecting gods.
You are correct regarding the things to mess around the star and that the messages journal pages (the ones with the date on them) have something to do with the possible sequences. You can also try to confront the keeper with lots of corruption for an extra hint.
You're almost there!

You don't have to fight the guy while corrupt. You can gain the corruption after and change his message. It only takes level 4 corruption for that.

I have an idea on the translation
flickering light = rainbow/sun¿
praying for dawn = moon
ground shook = mountain
traces of fire = flame
wet wings = wave
shadow magic = rainbow/moon/?? rainbow of darkness
not sure if all are needed in counter spell
pattern changes sometimes

Once you figure out that translation and preform the counter spell, it all seems to make sense. After actually reading the messages on the ground instead of just rushing the boss like I usually do, it seemed so obvious to me what the order was. I won't say what the order is so people who want to can still figure it out on their own, but once you finally figure out the spell and how to get the achievement, the item you get is a very nice one.
Once, just once, I wish things would go according to the gorram plan!

I forgot about trying a counter spell. I have been fighting fire with fire literally.
